Clint Warkentin
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Warkentin brings more than 25 years of senior finance leadership experience, with deep expertise across regulated utilities, power generation, and energy infrastructure.
Throughout his career, Mr. Warkentin has supported large-scale, capital-intensive organizations operating across multiple jurisdictions, with extensive experience in regulated utility environments, complex capital markets activity, and international energy operations.
Mr. Warkentin most recently served as Chief Financial and Investment Officer for ATCO Energy Systems, where he led strategy, corporate development, and finance for ATCO’s regulated utility businesses. Over his tenure at ATCO, he held several senior leadership roles, including Vice President & Treasurer and Vice President, Finance and Risk, where he oversaw enterprise financing, capital markets activities, risk management, and investor engagement.
Mr. Warkentin previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Certarus, a high-growth energy company, where he led the finance organization and partnered closely with the CEO and Board to support rapid expansion, strengthen financial and governance frameworks, and position the company for a successful sale in 2022.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Warkentin held senior leadership roles at Superior Plus and began in corporate and investment banking at TD Securities, where he developed a strong foundation in capital markets and financial strategy.
Mr. Warkentin is a Chartered Professional Accountant and CFA Charterholder, and holds the ICD.D designation. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and is a graduate of the Ivey Executive Program.
