 Shaun Toivanen

President and Chief Executive Officer, Non-Independent Director

Mr. Toivanen is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TriSummit Utilities Inc. Mr. Toivanen was previously TriSummit’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for over seven years, during which time he helped to lead the 2018 initial public offering of the company under its previous name, AltaGas Canada Inc.


In his career, Mr. Toivanen has led and executed over $12 billion in capital markets financings. He has also directly worked on over $14 billion in completed M&A transactions within the asset classes of energy utilities, power generation infrastructure, and midstream infrastructure.


From 2017 to 2018, Mr. Toivanen served as AltaGas Ltd.’s Vice President and Controller, responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of AltaGas Ltd., including the delivery of comprehensive financial reporting and ensuring a strong system of internal controls. From 2011 to 2017, Mr. Toivanen served as the Vice President and Treasurer of AltaGas Ltd., responsible for directing corporate finance and capital markets activities, such as debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions related financing, cash management and risk management. During his tenure, Mr. Toivanen was also responsible at times for AltaGas Ltd.’s budget and planning, investor relations, commodity risk management and credit management functions. Mr. Toivanen also served in positions of increasing responsibility within the Corporate Development team.


Mr. Toivanen currently serves on the Boards of Apex Utilities Inc., Inuvik Gas Ltd., Ikhil Joint Venture, and Alaska Storage Holding Company.


Mr. Toivanen holds a Bachelor of Management (Great Distinction) from the University of Lethbridge. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Mr. Toivanen also holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Warkentin brings more than 25 years of senior finance leadership experience, with deep expertise across regulated utilities, power generation, and energy infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Mr. Warkentin has supported large-scale, capital-intensive organizations operating across multiple jurisdictions, with extensive experience in regulated utility environments, complex capital markets activity, and international energy operations.

Mr. Warkentin most recently served as Chief Financial and Investment Officer for ATCO Energy Systems, where he led strategy, corporate development, and finance for ATCO’s regulated utility businesses. Over his tenure at ATCO, he held several senior leadership roles, including Vice President & Treasurer and Vice President, Finance and Risk, where he oversaw enterprise financing, capital markets activities, risk management, and investor engagement.

Mr. Warkentin previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Certarus, a high-growth energy company, where he led the finance organization and partnered closely with the CEO and Board to support rapid expansion, strengthen financial and governance frameworks, and position the company for a successful sale in 2022.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Warkentin held senior leadership roles at Superior Plus and began in corporate and investment banking at TD Securities, where he developed a strong foundation in capital markets and financial strategy.

Mr. Warkentin is a Chartered Professional Accountant and CFA Charterholder, and holds the ICD.D designation. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and is a graduate of the Ivey Executive Program.

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Ms. Rawcliffe is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining TriSummit in 2021, Ms. Rawcliffe was Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Pembina Pipeline Corporation, where she held progressively senior roles from 2013 until 2021. Prior to joining Pembina, Ms. Rawcliffe worked in the securities and corporate finance team of a national law firm.

Ms. Rawcliffe has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta. She was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2005.

Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development

Ms. Cantwell is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Prior to joining TriSummit Utilities Inc. in 2020, Ms. Cantwell was Vice President of Business Development with Emera Inc. from 2015-2020. From 1999 to 2015, Ms. Cantwell held increasingly senior roles with Emera including Director of Renewable Energy and Senior Director of Strategy and Planning. Prior to joining Emera in 1999, Ms. Cantwell worked for CentralPower Ltd, an electric utility in New Zealand and British Gas plc in Edinburgh, Scotland. During Ms. Cantwell’s 25 year career in the energy industry she has had the opportunity to build experience across the sector including integrated resource planning, regulatory affairs, renewable development, strategy, market intelligence, decision analysis and business development.

Ms. Cantwell has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from St. Francis Xavier University and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University.

Executive Vice President, Enterprise Initiatives

Ms. Shoji-Lee is Executive Vice President, Enterprise Initiatives at TriSummit Utilities. She brings extensive leadership experience across both the natural gas and electric utility sectors, with a career spanning more than three decades.

Most recently, Ms. Shoji-Lee served as Executive Vice President, Operations and previously as President of Pacific Northern Gas (PNG) from 2016 to 2023. In these roles, she led strong operational performance and delivery across the organization, with responsibility for utility operations, engineering, construction, environment, health and safety, as well as shared services including procurement, supply chain, human resources, communications, business development, marketing, and information technology.

Prior to joining PNG, Ms. Shoji-Lee held senior leadership positions across the industry, including Vice President, Manufacturing and Shared Services at Britco LP, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Utility Construction Corporation. She also served as Senior Vice President, Field Operations at BC Hydro. Earlier in her career, she held progressively senior roles at Union Gas Limited, including Vice President, Operations and Vice President, Engineering, Construction, Storage and Transmission Operations.

Ms. Shoji-Lee is an active contributor to the energy industry and is the past Chair of the Canadian Gas Association. She has also supported key industry initiatives, including serving as Chair of the organizing committee for the International Gas Union Research Conference 2024.

Ms. Shoji-Lee holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Executive Vice President, Operations

Mr. Feltham is Executive Vice President, Operations at TriSummit Utilities and serves as President of Apex Utilities Inc., a role he has held since 2020. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the natural gas industry, with a strong track record of operational leadership and innovation.

Prior to joining Apex Utilities, Mr. Feltham held a series of executive roles with ATCO Gas & Pipelines, including Vice President of Prairie Peaks Operations, Vice President of Calgary Operations, Vice President of Engineering, and Vice President of Engineering & Construction. In his most recent role as Vice President of Customer Experience and Innovation, he led initiatives focused on Renewable Natural Gas, hydrogen blending, and other decarbonization projects.

Mr. Feltham is actively engaged in the industry and currently serves on the Canadian Gas Association Board of Directors. He is the past Chair of the Canadian Standards Association’s Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry Systems Strategic Steering Committee, an Executive Board member of the Pipeline Research Council International, and a member of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association Executive Business Environment Standing Committee.

Mr. Feltham holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta. He is a Professional Engineer and has also completed the Ivey Executive Program.

President, Eastward Energy Inc.

Mr. MacAulay was appointed President of Eastward Energy Inc. effective April 1, 2026. Before this appointment, he held several senior technical and operational roles within the organization, most recently serving as Vice President, Engineering, Construction and Operations.

Mr. MacAulay has 19 years of experience at Eastward Energy and more than two decades of leadership experience in the energy and natural gas distribution sector. Mr. MacAulay brings deep operational expertise and institutional knowledge to his role. His leadership will be instrumental as Eastward Energy continues to strengthen its system and deliver on its critical role in meeting the province’s evolving energy needs.

Before joining Eastward Energy, Mr. MacAulay held a variety of positions at Enbridge in both Ontario and Alberta. He is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Dalhousie University. Mr. MacAulay currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Gas Association.

President Pacific Northern Gas

Mr. Doyle was appointed President of Pacific Northern Gas in March 2023. Mr. Doyle joined PNG in 2020 as the Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, Legal and Gas Supply. In his prior role, Mr. Doyle was responsible for regulatory strategy and PNG’s regulatory filings, overseeing the legal function and ensuring that the company had sufficient supply to meet customer demand. In his role as President, Mr. Doyle is leading PNG’s natural gas and propane business operations, and the company’s strategic direction, to deliver energy safely and reliably to residential and business customers across northern British Columbia. Mr. Doyle brings over 20 years of experience in British Columbia’s gas and electric utility sectors. His experience includes progressive positions in the areas of Gas Supply, Business Development, Regulatory and Customer Service at FortisBC from 2001 to 2009, and BC Hydro from 2009 to 2020. Mr. Doyle has a Master of Business Administration from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. He serves on the CGA Board of Directors.

President ENSTAR Natural Gas Company and CINGSA

Mr. Sims was promoted to President of ENSTAR Natural Gas Company and CINGSA on September 1, 2017, and is the first Alaskan to be named president in the company’s 60+ year history. Prior thereto, he held the position of Vice President of Corporate Resources and Business Development. In his 17-year history of working at ENSTAR, he has held a variety of leadership roles in business development, customer service, and human resources.

Born and raised in Alaska, Mr. Sims graduated from Chugiak High School in 1996 and Hillsdale College in Michigan in 2001. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Alaska-Anchorage in 2009.

Mr. Sims currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce and other various for-profit and non-profit organization boards. In 2013, he was recognized by the Alaska Journal of Commerce as being one of the Top 40 Under 40 in the State of Alaska.
